So, hey, remember all that math you learned in high school? All that geometry?

Remember how you thought you would never need it – how you swore that you would never ever need to use it?

Well, I got some bad news for you. If you love and enjoy playing the sport of soccer then this is one sport where some working knowledge in geometry could make all the difference in the world. Don’t believe me? Go ahead and try to visualize a soccer playing field in your head. If you can’t do this then fire up the internet and print out a picture of that playing field.

That’s what I do, when I’m out on the field. I consult the satellite internet providers in my area and I find a picture of a playing field and I print it out. You can learn a lot about the game by studying the field and the placement of your players. Things like what angle to aim your shot to score a goal or successfully pass, these are all important fundamentals of the game and they all require a little knowledge in geometry. In fact, it’s clear that geometry makes up a clear component of the game. So if you think you don’t need geometry to score then think again.

Top soccer players offer very specific insights into improving your game, but there is a common thread among much of their advice. Firstly, accuracy is more important than power or speed, and secondly, that practice is the only way to get better!

Accuracy is more important than speed. Real Salt Lake midfielder, Chris Klein, says keeping the ball under control is more important than anything else, even speed. Dribbling is a very important skill and players should learn to use both their dominant and weaker feet to control the ball and keep it away from defenders. Practice makes perfect, so Klein recommends drills to help players develop their ability to control the ball with both feet while dribbling.

Soccer superstar David Beckham told the BBC that accuracy is also the most important element of a shot. A powerful shot is worth nothing if it doesn’t hit the target, so practice accuracy first, and then work on improving power. Beckham also says putting your non-kicking foot down accurately is important because the better balanced you are, the more accurate the shot will be.

Both players say the best way to improve your game is lots of accurate practice. Focus on improving your accuracy through drills and then on improving power and speed, rather than being fast or powerful, but inconsistent.

Are you looking for the best stadiums in America today? You are in luck because I have compiled a list of the top two best stadiums in all of the United States.

1. Qwest Stadium – This stadium is located in Seattle, Wa, and it is the best stadium that you should go to if you want to watch a soccer game. It is the top one stadium in the United States today because it gives a beautiful and scenic view of Mount Rainier. In addition, it is one of the best places to see the downtown Seattle skyline. If you worry that you will end up with a bad seat when you go to this stadium, you have nothing to fear because there is no bad seat or location in this stadium.

2. Raymond James Stadium – Are you looking for a stadium that offers a unique experience? Raymond James Stadium is the best place where you should watch a soccer game in. You will feel like you are in a theme park while in this stadium because there are palm trees everywhere. Furthermore, there is a huge pirate ship in the stadium that fires cannon balls when the their team scores.

Soccer (or football, as it is referred to in most countries) is the most popular sport in the world. It has not yet reached that popularity in the United States, but it is still possible to watch the game and learn the sport. If you are determined to learn soccer, there are several options available to you.

Watch the sport as much as you can. The more you watch soccer, the more you learn from their actions. This doesn’t give you the direct eye foot coordination yet, but it helps you learn how to react in certain situations. The more soccer you are able to take in, the better player you are able to become.

Join a team for beginners. It is best to start off young, but even if you are middle aged and have never played soccer before, you are not alone. These leagues teach you how to play, yet keep it simple to ensure you have fun.

Play with a smaller ball than what is generally used. Smaller balls are harder to control with your feet. If you learn control with a smaller soccer ball, you have greater control with the full sized ball generally played with.

As many soccer players try to improve their kick power, a lot of them simply have no idea what to do. As many think that practicing to kick “harder” will help, they often forget that kicking strength is correlated to leg strength. So the stronger that your legs are, the stronger your kicks will be.

Implementing a weight lifting program

In order to fully reap the benefits of a strength training program, you must learn the basic movements. By learning how to squat with light weights, you will be teaching your body how to properly do the movement. Once you are able to perfect the movement, you will then start adding weight. As you get stronger every week, you will ultimately start to see your kicking strength get just as strong.

Stretch everyday

Before any of your lifting workouts, you must do a lot of stretching to keep your muscles warm and ready to move. You will be putting your body through intense stress and you will have to make sure that your body is ready for the heavy weights. Once you are stronger and more flexible, you will surely see yourself kicking that ball so much farther and stronger.
